The original suitable, & rivet tool by D.I.D - KM500 - separates and your chain riveted to reliable and is designed specifically for the workshop for everyday use. Keeps hundreds of riveted so when used correctly. 
When using a ZJ rivet lock, it is not possible due to the design to 'via rivets the chain', therefore well suited for D.I.D chains! Only for 5/8 '-to use chains! 
When disconnecting a chain we recommend advance with an angle grinder to plan the protruding heads of the rivet pin on the map to open; This relieves the cut-off tool and reduce the wear and tear.
